Live & Alive in 2016

Good Morning Uneasy Listeners!

Thank you for allowing me to invade your day at this unholy hour-I hope you’ll think it worth the imposition!
If you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook you may have seen the announcement of the live UK shows I’m performing, with my nine-piece band in March 2016. We’d love to see you there and, if you would too..well, here’s a link to get tickets which go on sale TODAY!!
This will be the first time I’ve brought the show to the West Midlands, which is pretty much my home ground! We’re making up for the Glasgow show that was cancelled in October 2014, a first trip to Gateshead, and a return to London!
If you’ve seen us perform before, you’ll know that we cover most of my entire film score career, from Pi to Noah, Moon to Stoker, Last Night to..well, who knows? There’ll be some new additions, should the Universe be willing, as well as the old faves! I really enjoy playing my film music in a live setting and it's you, the audience, that have made it so special. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you next March!

In other Mansell-related news, I just got back from the Toronto Film Festival where Ben Wheatley's adaptation of JG Ballards ‘High Rise’ premiered to a sell out crowd and went down a storm! I’m really proud of this film. I’ve loved Ben’s previous films-Sightseers, Kill List, A Field In England-and have been a Ballard fan since forever! So, the opportunity to be involved in this project was a dream come true! The score was recorded in London & Belgium, with my long time collaborators, co-producer, recording and engineering mixer, Geoff Foster and orchestrator Matt Dunkley. Its a wild, wild ride and I look forward to you seeing and hearing the film and score.

Silva Screen will be releasing the score on vinyl, CD & digital to coincide with the films release - which gives you a chance to learn the words and singalong at the live shows…errrr oh..perhaps not…?

With that, I’ll let you enjoy your breakfast and hope your day is one the best ever!
‘Nuff Said!

PS. For those of you that did have tickets for last years Glasgow show, these should have been automatically refunded. Any problems, please contact point of purchase.
